A COUPLE have been slapped with $1000 fines for breaching public health orders, accused of driving to a Tamworth home where a violent confrontation unfolded.

About 4.40pm on Monday, police allege a 24-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, along with a dog, went to a home on Manilla Road in Oxley Vale.
Police said a 37-year-old man, who was at the home, noticed the Holden Commodore pull up outside.
The 24-year-old man got out of the car, and was allegedly armed with a metal pole.

Police claim he threatened the man and attempted to assault him before allegedly setting his dog on him.
Oxley police were called and arrested the younger man at the scene.
He was taken to Tamworth police station and questioned before being charged with a string of offences.
He's accused of intimidation; being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence; set on or urge dog to attack; negligent driving; and driving recklessly or furiously, or in a speed or manner dangerous.
He was granted conditional bail to front Tamworth Local Court in July.
The man and woman were also fined $1000 for non-essential travel, under the state's public health order laws.
