A MAN has been robbed by a gang of four offenders who pushed him to the ground and threatened him with a knife in Tamworth.

The robbery at dusk on Thursday night happened when the 23-year-old was about to get in his car in Cossa Street in Coledale.
The 23-year-old's car was parked at a unit complex in the street, and when he walked to the car about 7pm, he was confronted by four men.
Police have been told one of the offenders pushed the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. A second offender then threatened him with a knife.

The offenders then stole his car keys and wallet before they fled on foot. They were last seen running through the unit carpark.
The 23-year-old victim wasn't injured in the armed robbery but alerted police.
Officers are appealing for anyone who might have been in the Cossa Street area about 7pm on Thursday, or anyone that might have seen four men acting suspiciously.
Police said all four men are still on the run and were described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance.
One is described as having a slim build and short black hair, aged between 20-25 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded jumper, or hoodie, with white writing and a circular motif on the front as well as long black pants.
The second offender is described as having a slim build, scruffy beard with black wavy hair, also aged 20-25. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt.
The third man is described as having a slim build, also aged between 20-25 and was last seen wearing a black shirt.
The fourth offender is described as having a solid build, with short hair and aged between 30-40.
