Armidale was one of the wettest parts of the region with more than 100mm officially recorded since Thursday.
Bundarra reportedly copped a 100mm drenching as well, while Moree and Inverell had more than 50mm in the rain gauges.

Weatherzone meteorologist Ben Domensino said more showers and thunderstorms were expected at the start of next week, but the activity could be "hit and miss".
Warmer weather is tipped to return to the region this week as well.
Temperatures will peak in Tamworth on Thursday with a top of 39 degrees predicted.
However, this could be followed by some rainfall next weekend.
Even with the relative reprieve in temperatures the region felt over the weekend, Tamworth is still on track to post its hottest January on record.
Top temperatures have been 3.6 degrees hotter than the long-term average (32.7 degrees).
