Bendemeer-based Jane Clement limbered up for the $37,000 XXXX Gold 2020 Inverell Cup (1400m) when Elle's Nel motored home to grab a late win at Coffs Harbour on Monday and deliver her Tamworth trainer her first win at the North Coast venue.

Elle's Nel, a five-year-old daughter of Shrapnel, was having her 14th start and snared a third career win when she arrived with a late rush to beat Western Alliance in the $22,000 Raine & Horne Toormina/Sawtell Class 2 Handicap (1005m).
"My first winner here," Clement laughingly confirmed to Sky Thoroughbred Central's Garry Kliese after the win.
"But I haven't ventured over here too much either."
She admits to having a "soft spot" for the mare, who had a knee operation earlier this year.
"She's always shown a lot of promise," she said.

"Got beaten this much," she gestured "by Victorem."
"I thought today might have been a little too short for her."
"We came over here looking for the softer tracks."
Ridden by Mikayla Weir, Elle's Nel spotted the leader four or five lengths at the 200m but mowed the David Campbell-trained gelding down with a last stride win.
Ironically Campbell also has a runner in Wednesday's feature. He runs Melted Moments while Clement has Desert Marshal engaged.
Desert Marshal has drawn well in barrier four with Belinda Hodder to ride while Melted Moments goes from barrier 13 with Matthew Paget aboard.
Clement went close to snaring a winning double at Coffs as well after Hardyo had no luck when third to Savvy Hustler in the Sawtell Hotel Maiden Plate (1405m).
