Tamworth Family Day Care hosted a very special fundraising event at Anzac Park on Tuesday. Children, educators, friends and coordination unit staff came together to raise $130 for the Cancer Council's Daffodil Day.

The group was to be joined by Paul Hobson New England, who is the Community Program Coordinator for Cancer Council NSW, Northern Region -Tamworth Office and the Cancer Council mascot Dougal Bear, who created much excitement amongst the children.

Balloons were handed out and Dougal was very forthcoming in posing for photos.
The crew at Tamworth Family Day Care don't mind a good dress up coming together in May to celebrate National Family Day Care Week.
And earlier this month they helped to raise money on Red Nose Day, which is dedicated to raising awareness of SIDS.
