A MAN has faced Tamworth Local Court in connection to an alleged armed robbery at Toronto.

Warren James Tighe, 29, was arrested at a Tamworth home at 10am on Thursday and taken to the police station for questioning.
He was charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon. Police allege the armed robbery of the Toronto club occurred on May 24.
Tighe appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Thursday afternoon and was not required to enter pleas.
He was refused bail by magistrate Julie Soars, who ordered him to remain in custody until late-September.

Tighe is the fourth man to be arrested as part of investigations into a spate of armed robberies across the Lake Macquarie region earlier this year.

Three men aged 24, 27 and 36 were arrested and charged last month. Their cases remain before the courts.
