In the face of the worst drought in history the Tamworth business community have shown unending resilience and dedication, which will soon be celebrated at the annual Quality Tamworth Business Awards.

On Saturday the Tamworth Business Chamber released a list of 110 businesses, and 22 individuals, as finalists across 27 categories, after recording an overwhelming 750 nominations for 434 businesses across the region.
Chamber president Jye Segboer congratulated all finalists, who rose to the top of "a very competitive field of nominees."
"There is no question that times are tough for some businesses, but we believe the sheer number, and calibre, of nominations highlight the incredible depth of passion that thrives in our local business sector," he said.

One of those businesses is Allsopp Signs, who after picking up the Trades and Manufacturing Best in Customer Service Award last year, were the first to find out they were named as a finalist again, and in two categories.
Manager Christie Galloway said it was "a very exciting and proud moment" to be named a finalist two years running.
"It is great to get that appreciation, and acknowledgement for the hard work that everyone has put in - we are so proud of the team," she said.
"The win last year did create some more business, and we can't wait for the big night."
For the second year in a row the general public will also get their say, with the Northern Daily Leader's People's Choice Award.
Voting will open at 9am on Monday morning via the Leader's website, with all 110 businesses from the Customer Service categories in the race.
Last year the award saw 2041 votes cast, with Birrelee Macs Child Care Centre scooping up the inaugural gong with 296.
"The awards are all about celebrating excellence, so the public vote is another way to applaud the hard work of our finalists. I encourage the entire community to support their favourite business," Mr Segboer said.
