THE region's next generation of soccer stars have benefited from a hands on message from one of the games major sponsors.
During the weekend's Northern Inland Football action in Tamworth, the Aldi Mini Chefs Food Truck stopped by to teach youngsters about the importance of nutrition.
As part of the supermarket's sponsorship of the sport in Australia, the bus has visited clubs and leagues across the country spreading the message of healthy eating.
Coupled with a smart-phone application, the food truck program helps families build a long-term healthy diet around regular exercise.
Families from around the Tamworth region benefited from the bus's visit over the weekend, as they experienced first hand what goes into a healthy diet.
Featuring an interactive game, which tested kids on their knowledge of the nutritional value of various foods, the bus gave kids the chance to learn about health and nutrition in a relaxed environment.
The food truck program will run alongside the Aldi Miniroos program for the rest of the year and will continue to visit regional soccer centres around the country.
