Look no further than the perfect Mother's Day fusion of a China Billy high tea, mixed perfectly with local and exotic gins from the team at the Welder's Dog, for Tamworth's inaugural Gin High Tea.
Fresh off the back of a successful Taste Tamworth debut, Ali Treloar's China Billy business is "stepping up for all the deserving mums out there."
"There always feels like there is a bit of yesteryear elegance to both gin and high tea, so I thought why not combine the two, and what better day to do it than Mother's Day," Mrs Treloar said.
Gin High Tea attendees will indulge in the full China Billy experience, including three savoury items, and three petite desserts, but will also dandle in the delight of a cocktail upon entry, followed by two craft gins expertly curated by Ben Coombes and the Welder's Dog team.

"We have got a few great gins from local distilleries like Dobson's, but we also have a few surprise gins that not many people would have even heard of before, let alone tasted," Mr Coombes said.
"I think the hybrid between gin and high tea captures Mother's Day pretty well."
While the event is being held on Mother's Day, Mrs Treloar said that the event is for foodies of all walks of life.
"We do have a lot of mothers and daughters coming, but we also have groups of friends, and a few couples looking for a date with a difference," she said.
"It is for all lovers of fine food and great gin."
