BURGUNDY Street is local singer-songwriter Sally-Anne Whitten’s latest expression.
The album has been recognised at the Indie Country Music Australia awards, with Whitten pulling Most Popular Female Artist and Most Popular Independent Album.
“I’m honoured to be recognised by peers and fans alike as an independent artist,” she said.
“It was a wonderful surprise and I’m delighted with these two awards.
I made this album completely my own way by my own rules so it feels amazing to be recognised for following my own path.Sally-Anne Whitten

Inspired by a lifelong dream to visit New Orleans, the album boasts collaborations with Sally-Anne Whitten’s favourite musicians James Crawell, Rae Moody, Allison Forbes and Mick Pealing.
The independent artist made the album with husband and producer Alwyn Aurisch, who was also recognised with the Most Popular Producer gong.
The awards are held annually.
