A strong bowling performance has helped Central North claim their first victory of the Kookaburra Cup over Western in Albury on Tuesday morning.

Bowling first, Central North was able to restrict Western to 6-102 off their 20 overs, with several bowlers claiming wickets.
Among the Tamworth wicket takers was Sam Anderson (1-18) and Ben Livingstone (1-25).
However, it was Zac Craig who proved the difference claiming 1-5 from three overs.

The twenty-20 clash was the side’s first of the day as they then doubled up to do battle with Riverina on Tuesday afternoon.
The day’s second clash started promisingly for Central North, posting 4-123 from their 20 overs.
Livingstone continued his solid form this time with the bat, top scoring with 36, while Henderson carried on his run scoring ways with 29 and Moree’s Ed Montgomery finished with an unbeaten 28.
However, the winning form proved to be short lived as Riverina chased down the total inside of 17 overs.
Ben Signor lead the way for Riverina, top scoring with 45 not out in his side’s seven-wicket win.
Oscar Walker was the best with the ball for Central North claiming 2-20 from three overs.
The side will look to bounce back with a victory when it takes on Greater Illawarra on Wednesday.
