The rural crime prevention team at Tamworth has launched an investigation into the incident but the squad has also called for people to come forward if they have any information regarding the theft.
Police said on the evening of Tuesday, October 30, several bales of hay were stolen from a shed on the Kerridene Road property at Piallamore about 17 kilometres south east of Tamworth.

While eight cattle were also stolen from the property, including one bull, four cows and three calves.
The animals are all described as Murray Grey cattle with a docile temperament.
The rural crime police investigating the matter have urged anyone with information to contact their local police station or phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
