The scene is set for one of the city’s social events of the year, and those people leaving it late need to act soon.
With just one week until the big night, a few tickets to Sterling’s Star Ball are still available.
The fundraising ball is being held to help ten year old Sterling Rodda tick a few items off his bucket list, before the rare Wolfram Syndrome claims his eyesight and hearing.
Organiser Kylie Wilson said that unlike many other charity balls, the Star Ball is more of a casual social affair, with $50 tickets and a BYO policy.
“A lot of people think it is sold out, although we had a few people that asked to have tables put away early on that haven’t come through,” she said.
“A lot of people aren’t into balls but this is more of a cheap night out for a great cause – a social get together.”
Tickets for the ball are available at Cody and Co on Brisbane Street, or by calling Ms Wilson on 0408203776.
