In the Wildcats’ 88-73 win over the Brisbane Bullets at RAC Arena in Perth, Kay was outstanding to pick up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Perth had started the game strongly to open up a double-deficit in the first quarter.
They followed that up with a stifling second term to hold the Bullets to just 32 points in the first half and went on to win 88-73.
Other than Kay, Damian Martin impressed.
He provided the surprise scoring punch, knocking down four threes for 12 points to go with five assists and three steals.
Bryce Cotton starred.
He once again showed why he's the competition's reigning MVP with 28 points of his own plus four assists.
"I just think that overall, with us playing team basketball and the weapons we have, the floor is naturally more spaced. We've got shooters. We've got at least three scorers on the floor at any time we step out there. That's a big help," Cotton said.
"We're all playing for each other. As long as we keep that family-oriented attitude, the open looks will be there for everybody."
