A JAM-PACKED weekend to declutter or pick up a bargain, the Tamworth Garage Sale Trail is on this weekend.
In Calala, Sonya Wren and her daughter Maddison have been busy clearing out the spare bedroom for the sale.
“I needed a good clean out so I thought why not? It could be a good opportunity to get some money together,” Sonya said.
“I’ve got a couple of antique pieces, linen, clothing, a few collectibles, lots of kitchen items and fishing gear.
“My spare room was chockers [sic] because I put everything in there – I’ve got freebies and anything from 20 cents to $300 which is the dearest.”
It’s the fourth year Tamworth Regional Council and Northern Inland Waste have made the event happen.
“Residents have used and supported the event well over the years and there are currently 35 sales registered in the local area,” council’s waste sustainability officer Angela Dodson said.

“We strongly encourage everyone who likes a bargain to take a look at the registered sale events and get out and support them.
“Be sure to take your own bag to carry your treasures, make sure you have money and don’t rush through your browsing.”
