I know I wrote last week but have since seen many more examples of people simply ignoring the signs. We have actually seen several of the salesmen from the car dealers along Peel St standing on the footpath smoking as we have walked from the caravan park to town and obviously the gutters are their ash trays.

On another subject, I don’t know if you are aware of the fact that there are many, many rats living at the Oxley Lookout?
My wife and I have been to the lookout several times for a coffee since we have been here this time and each time the rats are very active around the bins at the actual lookout and are disconcerting, to say the least, to tourists visiting and they show no fear of humans and run around with people just a metre or so away, obviously because of the litter and food scraps left by lazy people attract them. We are leaving Monday 21st and will be back next year again but I would like to thank you for publishing my letters through the year, even though we are a long way away.
