The Tamworth product received the “Golden Eagle” award for the best club man.
Both Blades and coach Darren Coleman were glowing of the Eagles captain in their end of season reports.
“Special mention must be made to team captain Paddy Ryan, who not only led from the front but provided inspirational and educated direction to the young group and over and above initiated and led by example in off-field programs promoting rugby in the Country,” Coleman commented.
Blades said: The players were great to work with and were led extremely well by Paddy Ryan who was truly the spirit of the Eagles both on and off the field. His work in regional areas throughout the year is vital in building a legacy for the Eagles in Country NSW.”
Five-eighth Tayler Adams was the players pick as their best for the season.
It topped off a great season for the West Harbour pivot, who also won the Ken Catchpole medal as the Shute Shield’s best player.
