During the last week of term two, Kindergarten children brought very special visitors to school. Teddy bears of all colours and sizes as well as an array of other snuggly, cuddly soft toys. We wrote about our bears and drew pictures of them. The anticipation grew as we waited for our Teddy Bears’ Picnic to start. We were so excited.

We played games such as What’s The Time Mr Bear?, Toss the bear in the tub or through the hoop; Teddy Bear relays and the much enjoyed Teddy Parachute Fun. Our bears loved being tossed up in the air above the parachute. We also ran under the parachute with our bears and tried not to be trapped underneath with our Teddies.
Our Bears were absolutely exhausted and needed a rest so we sat in the sun and listened to some Bear stories. We finally had a lovely picnic topped off by a gorgeous Bear cake. While we wrote about our Teddy Bears’ Picnic, we listened to Teddy bear songs and looked at pictures of Teddy Bears and real bears.
It had been a ‘beary’ exciting but exhausting week !
