A boundary redistribution following the last election means Tenterfield has moved from Northern Tablelands to the Lismore electorate.
Nationals incumbent Thomas George, who has held the seat since 1999, will be counting on the support of his new constituents to get him over the line.
Greens candidate Adam Guise orchestrated a 24 per cent swing to hold a narrow lead yesterday afternoon as counting continued.
Meanwhile, Upper Hunter Shire Council mayor Michael Johnsen looks set to replace the retired George Souris as Upper Hunter’s member of Parliament.
However, the Nationals suffered a 20 per cent swing against them in the seat, with Country Labor’s Martin Rush eroding the 23 per cent margin.
