Mr Rumble said his dance experience ranged from blue light discos in the 1980s – complete with a mullet – to cutting-edge dance moves.
“We can’t reveal too much,” he said.
“We don’t want to give our opposition too much of an advantage and it is a competition, after all.”
All he would reveal was that the dance, with partner Francine Wrigley, would be something to remember.
Mr Rumble aims to raise $3000 through raffles and “rattling the tin at the hotel”.
He said, through the hotel, he had known of people with cancer and going through treatment and got involved after being volunteered by his wife, Alison, and dance teacher Sally Keft-Gill.
Mr Rumble has a word for the unwise, though.
“Anyone who takes the mickey out of me will be volunteered for next year,” he said.
“Beware of what you say.”
The Celebrity Dance for Cancer is on Saturday at Calrossy Anglican School’s William Cowper campus.
