Reality of  Christmas in a troubled age

IN THE days prior to Christmas 2012 there is a reality that the birth of the Christ child Jesus is the reason for giving and receiving.

I for one realise that I have failed to pass the faith of our fathers onto my family. I regret not going to church with them as children because we live in a troubled age and earthly governments rise and fall and cannot solve problems they create.

Isiah 8-6: “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

“Of the increase of his government and of peace, there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from this day forth and for ever more.”

This is one of my favourite quotes from the Bible.
