A camping spot down by the river?

ENDEAVOURING to take advantage of a couple of days respite over the Christmas period a phone call was made to the Lake Keepit State Park for a bush camping site. This was for bush camping – no facilities, provide your own amenities, rely on gas, batteries or a generator for power.

The price for two people, for two nights – $147.

During the school holidays you can’t book for just two days – you have to take a week’s tariff.

I think I’ll pitch my tent on the banks of the Namoi River instead!
