Bridget Tydd and Eliza Kearney both slotted hat-tricks in a 7-3 win over Services that stand-in coach Hanna Klasen described as "an unbelievable first game".
More than the result it was the way that they played that most impressed Klasen.
"They looked like they were probably mid-season; beautiful transfers, lots of confidence in the back, our mid-field worked non-stop and then up the front we had heaps of options," her said.

They came out firing scoring three quick goals in the first quarter. That set it up.
"That built their confidence," she said.
"And they were just hungry the entire time."
She felt like, for the most part, they controlled the game well and said it was pleasing to see them pushing to the end with Flo Davidson scoring off a well-worked penalty corner in the final couple of minutes to make it 7-3.
She also noted that all of their goals were good team goals.
"Every goal started from the back and everyone passed and nearly everyone touched it to get there," she said.
It reflected what was a "wonderful team effort".
Tydd was a real terrier, especially in the circle.
"She'll run all day and she's strong physically and with her skillset as well," Klasen said.
"She's a huge asset and backed up by Annabel (Dalzell), whose fast and got the skillset as well."
Kearney was also great, while stepping up from second grade, Tahlia Morrisey was unbelievable "in any position", Klasen said.
"Bec Davidson in goals was amazing," she said.
"And Ella Mitchell and Tahlia Barwick at the back were safe as houses."
It has given them a great foundation to build off.
Tanisha Donnelly, Lili Beatie and Lilly Francis found the back of the net for Services.
In the other first round games South United edged out Waratahs 4-3 and Tudor Wests burned Flames 2-nil.
