In what was described as a "cracking game", Savage Diamonds got the win 10-7 after taking a convincing lead with seven across the plate in their last innings.
It left United needing six runs to tie but Savage Diamonds managed to restrict them to only three.
They earned their spots in the decider by finishing one and two on the ladder after the regular season after the semi-finals washed out.

Early on it was run-for-run. Three outs to Savage Diamonds' Jess Johnson at third kept United scoreless.
A double play to United - a catch to Nat Crittle in the outfield who fired the ball into pitcher Sara Davis, who then threw the ball to first baseperson Bec Pollard, the retired the Savage Diamonds.
Among the highlights was the pitcher/catcher combinations of Davis and Isabelle Kesby for United and Stacey Attard and Em Castles. They put in a massive effort in the first innings.
Both teams also hit the ball well with several outfield hits.
The junior season also wrapped up on Saturday with Ashton Nagle (Diamonds) and Maggie Attard (Savages) being awarded the Stacey Porter trophy as MVP's for the season.
