The NSW Electoral Commission has scheduled the final 'button press' for the Tamworth Regional Council elections for Tuesday at 10.45am.
The new councillors will be announced immediately after a computer calculates preferences.
Commission staff have spent the last week laboriously rechecking every ballot and then entering the data into the computer to crunch the results.

Mark Rodda, Bede Burke, Russell Webb and Marc Sutherland are all certain to be elected councillors, with all four receiving a full quota in their own right.
Labor looks certain to elect a councillor as well, which is very likely to be their first candidate, Stephen Mears.
Phil Betts, Helen Tickle and Brooke Southwell are likely to take three of the last four seats on council.
Ninth place is shaping up to be a crapshoot, with just 189 votes separating six candidates and thousands of preferences outstanding that could tip the results.
Incumbent councillor Charles Impey is currently leading with 1239 votes.
He is closely pursued by newcomers Laura Hughes, Judy Coates, Ray Tait, Jim Maxwell and Marjolijn Thomas.
Gunnedah will learn who has been elected to its new council at 9am on Monday.
The results for the Liverpool Plains council will be announced on Wednesday at about 10.45am.
The Armidale Regional Council will be announced on Monday at 3.30pm.
Glen Innes Severn Council's new representatives will be announced on Monday at 2.15pm.
