The three-day tournament, held at the South Tamworth Bowling Club this year, is one of two tournaments that Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT look at when selecting the state squad.
"Today acts as part of our selection process for the NSW Wizards squad who will participate at nationals," Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT's Matt Haines said.

The other tournament is the state championship held earlier in the year.
West Tamworth's Aaron Kelly and South Tamworth's Des Cross won the state singles and reserve singles, respectively, at that event but they aren't the only locals competing this week.
Another four bowlers from Tamworth are competing in the singles classic.
Haines said it was fantastic to be able to give Tamworth the opportunity to host the tournament.
"It's brilliant, we've held it in different locations, from Taree to Newcastle to Belmont and basically the idea behind this year was bring it out to the north west of NSW and give different people an opportunity to participate in our sport," Haines said.
A tick over 20 bowlers are competing and South Tamworth Bowling Club bowls coordinator Phil O'Reilly hoped this wouldn't be the last time the club hosted the fixture.
"We're excited that we're able to host and we hope the event is successful and we can host it again in the future," he said.
The finals will be held on Wednesday with the gold and bronze medal matches to be played at 3pm.
