New data from the NRMA shows the city as the eighth most impacted town by storm or hail damage.
The region survived hail storms, floods, snow flurries, gusty winds and thunderstorms between September 2020 to 2021.
Tamworth topped the New England North West area for most impacted by storm damage, followed by Armidale, then Moree, Hillvue, Westdale, Narrabri, South Tamworth, Gunnedah, Kootingal and then Inverell.
The typical storm season runs from October to March, so residents are urged to be prepared.
An icy blast swept through the city on Tuesday, bringing windy weather and cool temperatures.

Light flurries of snow were reported in higher areas like Hanging Rock that morning.
By just after midday on Tuesday the Bureau of Meteorology said the temperature in Tamworth was 10.8 degrees but felt like 1.4.
Some areas in Tamworth experienced sporadic light rain and hail, as well as gusty winds.
The weather is set to get warmer, with top temperatures expected to climb back up to the 20s later this week.
