Tamworth reinsman Tom Ison was as quick as a flash in picking up a driving double at the Newcastle meeting last Friday night.

Firstly, he supported his old boss Roy Roots Jnr and drove $1.45 race favourite Boyzhavtime to a win in the HRNSW 3yo Pace.
After commencing from the seven barrier, Ison had the Bettors Delight colt racing out in the breeze before commencing his run from the 400m mark.
He then came away for a 7.7m win over the Jake Mitchell-trained and Mark Callaghan-driven Sir Richard Lee.

Elles Choice, trained and driven by Bob Richards, was another metre away in third place.
Boyzhavtime had a mile rate of 1min 57.7sec for the 2030m.
Ison then teamed up with Cessnock trainer Stacie Elliott to take out the last race on the program behind $1.65 favourite Magic Shoos, who clocked 1.58.6 for the 1609m.
Magic Shoos had a 7.9m win over stablemate Lincolnshire Red (Jake Hughes), with another Elliott stable runner, Enemy Lines (Bevan Pringle), third.
Ison also had a second placing behind Just Feelngood, for trainer Peter Payne, and secured a second placing for his father, Andy, behind Mollidor in the opening event.
Ison is booked for another seven drives at Newcastle on Friday night and that is on the back of nine drives at Tamworth on Thursday afternoon.

Sawyer Gully trainer Stacie Elliott deserves accolades after securing 100 career training wins last Friday night at Newcastle.
Stacie is a great supporter of Tamworth meetings.
A hard worker, Elliott's special night at Newcastle last Friday was enhanced significantly after she trained two trifectas on the card.
With 12 runners engaged, she headed home with 101 career training wins.
She picked up her first training trifecta with Classic Arc (Dan Morgan), who finished ahead of stablemates Baby Ginnie (Jake Hughes) and Scotlynn Jiggs (Peter Hedges).
Her second trifecta was with Magic Shoos, Lincolnshire Red and Enemy Lines.
The Tamworth meeting on Thursday afternoon will see Elliott produce nine runners, before gearing up another seven runners at Newcastle on Friday night.

The 2021 Inter Dominion is set to go ahead, with nominations closing on September 27 and the first rankings released on September 29.
Qualifying heats will be staged at Tabcorp Park Menangle on November 27, at Bathurst on December 1 and at Newcastle on December 5, with the grand final on Menangle on December 11.

It was good to see Narrabri pacer Kid Montana is still producing impressive runs, after he picked up a second behind Mach Da Vinci at Albion Park last Saturday night.
Trained and driven by Lola Weidemann, Kid Montana was beaten by 18m. The mile rate for the 1660m was 1.51.1.
Kid Montana is set to have another start at Albion Park on Saturday night.
