Dr Frede jumped on board a couple of weeks ago and has enjoyed the opportunity to take a more personal approach with her patients, a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the hospital emergency department.
Being a GP was always the plan for Dr Frede, who said she has thoroughly enjoyed her first few weeks working at Barton Lane Practice.
"I like the lifestyle, and you get to know your patients a bit more, I enjoy it more than ED [the emergency department]," she said.
"I've really enjoyed it, it's been really nice, it's quite a big change and I've got a lot to learn but it's been good so far."
At just 25-year-old she has strong medical experience behind her after being in the emergency department role for six months.
She also completed her residency at Wyong and Gosford hospitals before that.

Given she has been in Tamworth for some time, Dr Frede said she was aware of the GP crisis facing rural areas like Gunnedah; which has struggled to keep and find new doctors as the waiting list for patients grows longer.
Being part of the solution to that problem is something the University of Western Sydney graduate takes great pride in.
"Even when I was working in ED I'd say 'go see a GP' and they would say it would be three weeks, so I was thinking 'jeez, maybe I'll become one and help'," she said.
