"We're starting to put our game together now. The last two games we've scored 12 goals so can't be unhappy with that," May said.
He added: "I was quite happy with the way we played. I've been happy how we've played most of the year.
"We just haven't been scoring the goals and I kept telling the boys we've gotta get clinical in front of goals."
On Saturday, Tamworth FC led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Nguyen Nguyen and captain Hayden Davidson.
Davidson's goal was an individual effort with a great finish on the back of a 60-metre run from the captain.
May said Tamworth FC could have gone 4-0 up but weren't able to take advantage of "two great chances".
Instead, Moore Creek scored a pair of goals to level the score.
FC "stuck to it" and following a couple changes, including bringing Josh Bartlett into the game off the bench, grabbed the final two goals of the game.
"We kept going and about 15 minutes from the end we pushed Kurt Barrow up front, he scored the third goal then Josh Bartlett scored the fourth goal," May said.
In the other matches, Oxley Vale Attunga stretched their lead at the top of the ladder with a 5-0 win over Gunnedah FC.
Meanwhile, North Companions made ground on Gunnedah and South United.
Northies beat Kootingal FC 3-0 and now sit just one point adrift of Gunnedah and Souths.
