That trait was perfectly illustrated in the opening match of the season, when the veteran striker headed in from close range in a 4-1 win over South United.
In the process, he careened into a Souths defender, knocking him to the ground.

It was another goal for a prolific goal-scorer, who is now in his 10th season with Tamworth FC.
He relishes the "physical side" of the game, when "you've got two big guys just battling it out and putting big hits on (nothing illegal, though, he stressed).
"At the end of the day, it's one of my strongest [suits]; I'm not the quickest guy.
"That's why me and Hayden Davidson work so well together.
"I guess I've got the ability to hold the ball up, and he's nice and quick. So we work well together."
That lethal partnership - Barrow has scored six goals this season and Davidson five - will need to be purring at Johnson Field on Saturday.
That's when Barrow, 35, Davidson and a host of their teammates will take a stroll down memory lane against an OVA side reinforced by the return this year of several mainstays from their golden era.
The fierce rivals sit atop the table, with five wins and a loss apiece.
Barrow, for one, can't wait for the latest fusillade in this long-running battle to be unleashed.
He likened the encounter to "their premiership-winning teams versus ours".
"It's definitely gonna be the toughest match of the year," he said.
"I think we kind of saw that from the get-go [how good OVA would be] ... we heard who was going back there - some of their older guys: Adam Watson and [Brendan] Fergie and all those boys."
Several old-guard Mushies returned this season in a bid to reclaim the side's No 1 status after 10-straight grand finals, six premierships in a decade and three consecutive titles was followed by a barren run the past three years.
Tamworth FC have won the past two premierships.
Barrow said: "Everyone's really familiar with each other ... We know their game to a point, but they're gonna know our game just as well."
Tamworth FC will be at full strength against a ladder-leading OVA side who have netted a competition-best 28 goals this season, while conceding only three (equal best with Tamworth, who have scored 21 goals).
Last month Sam Higgins, one of Mushies' old-guard returness, said the side's quest to dethrone Tamworth was "the deep down, burning desire".
"You know," he said, "we've sort of sat back the last few years and we've seen another side [Tamworth FC] take our mantle as the most dominate team ... We decided it's about time we reclaimed that."
