Heading into the final morning, spots in the grand final were up for grabs with the Sea Dawgs and Misfits eventually moving through.
The sun provided plenty of warmth on grand final day as things also heated up on the Field of Dreams.
It was the Sea Dawgs who brought their best in the grand final to take home a 13-7 win over Misfits.
As for the Tamworth side, it was a case of what could have been.
While the side only scored one win - which came against Misfits - coach Andrew Ferris said there was a lot of near misses.
"We played well in all of them and we beat the team [Misfits] that's playing in the final," Ferris said.
"We only lost 5-3, I think, to the other team [Sea Dawgs] in the final.
"So that shows how we played and how well we went. We lost our close games and we just put ourselves out of contention with the couple losses we should have won. We didn't help ourselves out."

As for individual performances, Ferris said Jake Forsythe was a force.
"He hit really well. Probably the best I've seen anyone hit in one of these carnivals," Ferris said.
The Tamworth team will now focus on the Country Championships to be held at Lismore in August.
"We'll do a lot more work on the essential stuff - the fundamentals of the game we need to work on," Ferris said.
"We've got about eight weeks from now to start working and really lift.
"Guys are playing well - just not lifting to the next level the way we should. I suppose it [will come] through training and working with all the guys.
"Jake Forsythe has a lot of experience - he's gone and played college ball - and he's going to help a lot with training to get to the next level we need to be at."
On Monday, champions were crowned across the six divisions after three huge days of baseball.
Carnival coordinator Warren Williams said the 2021 tournament had been "absolutely brilliant" with more than 50 teams taking to the field in Tamworth over the long weekend.
