The 2021 carnival will be Jeremy Bird's 29th but it also be the first for his daughter Tahlia.
The 41-year-old is lining up in the Tamworth men's team - where he is joined by brother Keegan in the side for the first time - while Tahlia is in the Tamworth women's team.
Adding to the family affair is Jeremy's wife Carla, who is on the Tamworth Baseball committee and does her part off the field.
Jeremy said it was great to have so much of his family involved at the carnival.
"I'm thrilled [with Tahlia playing] and having my brother play as well," Jeremy said.
"There is another brother [Kris] who would have been in the A grade team as well but he unfortunately has a leg injury."
In her first year of baseball, Tahlia has found herself playing second base or short stop and she has quickly felt the embrace of the Tamworth's women's team.
"It's great. Very fun. Everyone is very welcoming," Tahlia said.
Tahlia could also find herself playing in the Timberjacks Baseball Carnival after being approached to play there with another side. Carla also said Tamworth were looking at sending a junior team as well who Tahlia could play for.
Tahlia is also hopeful she'll represent Tamworth at the Women's Country Championships while Keegan and Jeremy are keen to do the same for the men's side.
But first, they need to get through the long weekend.
Jeremy says it's a little bit harder to bounce back for back-to-back games these days.
"I tend to feel it now especially with these double headers,"
"We played two [on Friday] another two today [Sunday] and then one tomorrow. Playing those lengthy games you start to feel it but these two are a bit better with it."
