The meeting has now been rescheduled to run on Sunday with the 10 races all shifted to the new day.
The Sunday meeting will be run in the evening with the first race set to jump at 5.10pm.
The weather was the cause with Tamworth getting a heap of rain over the past few days.
The track was soaked which created safety issues surrounding the horses running on it.
"It was too wet," Tamworth Harness Racing Club secretary manager Michael Jones said.
"It'll be the same race program and there's still 10 races."
Throughout the week, Tamworth has experienced cold and wet weather.
Over the past three days, the Bureau of Meteorology had recorded over 50mm of rain out at the Tamworth Airport.
