The Roos finished strongly after receiving a tongue lashing from coach Shane Rampling at the break.
"We were pretty poor in the first half," Rampling said.

"Made the same old errors: dropped the ball and gave away penalties. We couldn't get any rhythm."
Rampling said his half-time blast got "the boys to focus on the simple things, and they needed to show some energy".
Rob Doolan did that, he said.
"Every time he touched the ball in the second half he was dangerous," Rampling said of the centre, who scored one of the Roos' four second-stanza tries.
Fellow centre Mitch Fletcher also earned praise from Rampling.
"They were both outstanding," the veteran coach said. "They both ran the ball hard and tackled hard in the second half. Mitch also scored a great try and set one up."
Little fullback Isaiah Adams "had his best game for the club", Rampling added, and reserve-grade captain-coach Dave Toomey added some composure and finesse in the run home.
"Dave's kicking game was great," Rampling said.
Werris Creek co-coach and captain Cody Tickle was disappointed and didn't hold back.
"We were absolutely atrocious," he said. "We've got no excuses, just weren't good enough."
He thought fullback Bryce Daniels "was pretty good" and Dylan Porter was "dangerous" at nine.
"Our starting front-rowers, Marcus (Doran) and Caleb (Parsons), were good from the start," he said, adding: "But both sides made plenty of mistakes."
The sides finished on four tries apiece, but the Magpies kicked only one goal.
Sixth-placed Boggabri have two wins now, while seventh-placed Werris Creek have the sole victory.
Boggabri 22 (Isaiah Adams, Mitchell Fletcher, Robert Doolan, Kaylan Murray tries, Doolan 3gls) d Werris Creek 18 (Kieran Williams, Tyren Cloake, Dylan Porter, Brad Flanders tries, Bryce Daniels gl).
Best and fairest: Matt Gillham three points, Zack Leonard two points, Bryce Daniels one point.
