It comes after the wheels were put in motion late last year to establish a local wheelchair sports organisation and provide regular competitions in Tamworth.
The committee got a bit of a taste test last Wednesday holding a committee and friends come-and-try session.
Chairman David Plummer said he found it quite fun "once I got an idea of how to move around in the wheelchair".
The come-and-try sessions will run from 5-6pm over the next six Wednesdays.

The sessions are free, and those interested in having a go are welcome to attend all six or as many as they like.
They can turn up on the day but pre-registration is preferred. That can be done at wsnsw.org.au
