The Nundle Country Picnic was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, but this year it's set to be back on the menu and more laid-back than ever.
Organiser Teree Burr, owner of destination management company Nundle Events and Groups, said the event would go beyond just "paddock to plate".
Local farmers Danielle and Cameron Duglas not only bred the lambs for the event, Danielle will cook them.
"It's a really nice element to have her there, it's her lamb being served. She's the one who has grown it and she's going to cook it," she said.

They'll even be available to explain how the food got there, she said.
"We're trying to do a little bit of a Q and A on the mic with some our local producers that we have there just so they can tell their stories and what they've done to set up their farming vision, and how they're different, how they do things, and how they got their produce to your lunchbox on the day," she said.
Mrs Burr said the event would feature delicious food, live local music and a new season of winter fashion in the grounds of the Nundle Woollen Mill.
The event will be an opportunity for the Nundle Woollen Mill and boutique business Sacs on Jenkins to show off their new threads in a parade featuring local models.
"I'm just excited for the feel of the event going ahead again," she said.
"It's such a relaxing day, it's quite chill for the people who attend. And it's a really good way for them to connect with family and friends over beautiful food that's locally sourced and locally made by local people.
"I love the emphasis on everything local about this event. That's what I'm looking forward to."
The tourist town will also be home to the famous Great Nundle Dog Race on May 2.
