The new schedule starts from March 27 until October 30 and will see flights increase from 21 services per week to 36, Tamworth Regional Council airport and aviation commercial director John Sommerlad said.
"The additional 15 flights won't happen overnight," he said.
"The number of flights outlined may not be present from day one (March 27), rather they will increase as the demand increases."
The base schedule will be made up of 25 Qantaslink flights between Tamworth and Sydney, three Qantaslink flights bewtween Tamworth and Brisbane and eight Link Airways flights between Tamworth and Brisbane.

It's the latest big step toward a gradual return to pre-pandemic flights in the region.
The Armidale flights mean passengers can go to Sydney and return in the same day.
