This is part of a series of free events hosted by The National Trust of Australia (NSW) to celebrate the organisation's 75th anniversary.
The tour of the fully furnished Edwardian homestead will give guests a glimpse into pastoral life including the cottage garden, the picking garden and the heritage rose garden - a jewel of Armidale.
The extensive gardens at Saumarez Homestead were planned and constructed by the Saumarez Whites at the turn of the 19th century to complement and provide a setting for their significant late Victorian-Edwardian house.

Arguably one of the best features of this property, the 4.4 acres consists of nine distinct areas including The Avenue, Mary's Garden and the Heritage Rose Garden.
The latter in full bloom contains more than 600 roses representing each of the major rose cultivar groups bred before 1930.
On the tour you will see exotic native species as well as exotics from the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Scandinavia.
Guests can enjoy light refreshments, with music and a complimentary glass of wine on a picnic rug in the garden between 2pm and 4pm.
Rugs will be available to borrow so pack a picnic and remember your favourite spot so you can return and dine al fresco, soaking up the sights that Saumarez has to offer.
