The Garden Shed Cafe owner Kimberley Brazel said she had always liked the idea of groups of friends getting together on Valentine's Day.
"I've always been into the girls having a celebration, but it hasn't always had a name like it does now," Ms Brazel told the Leader.
It's been dubbed 'Gal-entine's Day', and the friendship-based take on Valentine's Day has proven a popular celebration.
The venue is hosting high teas and "brunch and bubbles" for the weekend of February 14.

"No one should feel left out on Valentine's Day and there's always a reason to celebrate and drink champagne, especially after COVID when everyone wants to get out and about," Ms Brazel said.
She said the "whimsical and romantic" styling of the cafe made 'Gal-entine's Day' a perfect weekend for business.
Tamworth's Graze the Board founder Amy Skewes curated "luxurious and beautiful" picnic boxes for Valentine's Day weekend.
She has crafted a box especially for a 'Galentine's Day' picnic, packed with food and cocktails to share among friends.
"I love the idea of championing single-hood and with Valentine's Day falling on a Sunday this year, I thought it was the perfect chance for the 'gals' to get together and celebrate their friendships," she said.
Both Graze the Table and the Garden Shed Cafe are also putting together picnics for two in the spirit of a traditional Valentine's Day.
"I wanted to meet the needs of both people with significant others and people that are single, and let them celebrate that friendship as well," Mrs Skewes said.
Both businesses are looking forward to a busy weekend. Other Valentine's Day events are being run at some local venues, and the Forum 6 cinemas will show a special movie.
