A patch of track doesn't have as much grass coverage as is needed.
"Just after the home turn, there's a section of track where the grass hasn't taken as much as we'd like," Tamworth Jockey Club general manager Wayne Wood said.
"We just need the grass to cover the section properly."

The club will inspect the track again on Tuesday.
"We're having another look tomorrow [Tuesday]. A representative from Racing NSW who takes care of the tracks will be there and he'll give us a better guide," Wood said.
As a result of this transfer the following race distance amendments apply:
Race one: BM66 HCP. Was: 2100m. Now: 2050m
Race two: BM58 HCP. Was: 1200m. Now: 1300m
Race six: F&M MAIDEN HCP. Was: 1200m. Now: 1300m
Race seven: CG&E MAIDEN HCP. Was: 1200m. Now: 1300m
