Eight races were run and won despite a thunderstorm rolling through.
It hit the track smack bang in the middle of the meeting.
"We copped the storm just before the fourth race - halfway through the afternoon," Edmonds said.
"We got probably 5-6mm, it was coming in heavy with lightning and thunder. We had to stop the racing until that passed but it was OK after that."
Sue Grills trained the winner in the Nutrien Ag Solutions Cup with Mandalong Tapit.
The grey horse put close to six lengths on his rivals to win the cup.
The longest winner of the day came in the first when Bonnie Ev won paying $71 for Tamworth trainer Stephen Dixon who was racing his first runner since January.
