It comes as Tamworth Regional Council approved modifications to the development application.
At one point in 2018, it looked like there would have been three stores in the Country Music Capital.
However with council's knock-back of their Scott Road DA in 2018, we will still only have one shopping hub.
An Aldi Australia spokesperson told the Leader that all existing staff will be found jobs in "alternative Aldi stores".
"Once open, Aldi at 194 Peel Street will replace the existing Aldi Centrepoint store," they said.
"All of out employees at Aldi Centrepoint will remain employed at alternative Aldi stores."
Those driving past Peel Street site will soon have something interesting to see, with works on the new store scheduled to begin in January next year.
The project will cost around $6.4 million, and will be located between the PCYC and the petrol station, opposite the skate park.
