Tamworth Lions Club president Greg Clark said it was "incredible".
On the second last day of the sale, they had sold over 2000 books by lunchtime.
The first Saturday, they sold about $12,000 dollars worth - and with the books ranging in price from $3 to $5, that's a lot of sales.
I reckon we've sold around 30 to 40 thousand books this week, and probably hit the $45,000 mark.

"I reckon we've sold around 30 to 40 thousand books this week, and probably hit the $45,000 mark," Mr Clark laughed.
"We are one of the biggest clubs around and we had nothing to do because of the pandemic - so when we went ahead with this, we were all itching to get stuck in."

A good thing too, as COVID-19 precautions meant they needed around 30 people on shift at one time, where in previous years they managed with 12.
All of the money raised will remain local in Tamworth, going to various charities and causes who find themselves in need.
