A MAN'S charges have been adjourned after police uncovered a ballistic vest, tasers and a stash of what they claim is cocaine.

Nicholas Phillips, 31, was refused bail by police and fronted Inverell Local Court on Friday on fraud, drug supply and weapons charges.
The New England Proactive Crime Team were on the Newell Highway at Moree on Thursday night when they intercepted a car about 9.30pm.
Police questioned the man inside and searched the car where they claim they discovered 47g of white powder which they allege is cocaine.

Three tasers along with a a ballistic vest were also found in the car.
Police arrested the 31-year-old from Queensland at the scene and seized the goods. He was taken to Moree police station and questioned by investigators and later charged.
The 31-year-old is facing charges of supplying more than an indictable of cocaine; and two counts of possessing prohibited weapons.
Police said the man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for fraud offences.
He spent the night in custody before appearing in Inverell Local Court on Friday.
He was not required to enter pleas to the charges. Magistrate Jacqueline Trad made an order for Phillips to be detained, and he remained in custody on the weekend.
The case will return to court at a later date.
Police said investigations into the seizure are continuing.
