Public Schools NSW Tamworth covers everywhere from Swansea to the QLD border and delivers vocational qualifications to roughly 5000 students a year, while they are still in school.
It means those students can come out of school and be work-ready, chief executive officer Lyn Gardon said.
"These students can take a Cert I, II or in some cases III so they are actually building their qualifications in particular skilled industries prior to leaving school and some will pick up apprenticeships as part of that," she said.
"Some end up leaving school with a Cert I in business or construction which they can go and build on, plus there are courses in fitness or retail and it places them really well to move into further tertiary student or be ready for work by the time they finish that qualification."

There are more than 600 teachers qualified in anything from agricultural studies to digital media and engineering, who provide the courses across 118 schools.
Ms Gardon said it gives students the option to move straight into employment after school.
"Particularly in rural and remote areas we are passionate about making sure no matter where you live you have the opportunity to be a part of these courses," she said.
