A group of travel agents from Tamworth have banded together to create an online petition, calling for a financial lifeline from the federal government.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has thrown his support behind the campaign.

He said while state and federal government initiatives have helped kept the industry alive during the pandemic, what happens in the next six months could hit hard.
"We've talked about the September cliff - this is a critical time to get behind the travel industry and support them as much as we can," he said.
"I'll be taking my voice forward, talking to the Tourism Minister, talking to the events industry, talking to restaurants and caterers."
Tamworth travel industry representative Chris Watson said although support so far has been appreciated, the sector needs a tailored package.
"Cash grant support would be great ... there could be some tax benefits, there could be some small business incentives ... some incentives to insist with rent," he said.
The e-petition has about 4700 signatures so far and can be signed by anyone.
