The region's multi-pronged raid on Randwick on Saturday came up empty - although one of the trainers, Cody Morgan, tasted success at Tamworth and also had a good result at Eagle Farm on the same day.

In race one at Tamworth, Qin Yong piloted the Morgan-trained Time For Don to victory in a maiden plate over 1000 metres.

It was the first time the brothers quinelled a race as trainers.
The news was not so good for Cody Morgan in Sydney.
Despite having Hugh Bowman aboard his $17 chance, Purton, in the $67,500 Class 3 Highway Handicap (1100m) at Randwick, the four-year-old gelding finished last in a field of 13.
Morgan's other runner in the race, five-year-old gelding Galapagos (Louise Day) finished 10th.
He said the "wet track was against us", and he was "much happier with Ozark running second in Brisbane [on Saturday] getting set for the Grafton Ramornie [Handicap] next month".
Ozark, a six-year-old gelding, ran second in a $65,000 benchmark 85 handicap over 1000m at Eagle Farm.
The Ramornie Handicap is a $160,000 listed race on July 8.
Another Tamworth trainer, Sue Grills, was in action at Randwick on Saturday - with Bowman riding her four-year-old gelding, Burning Crown, in the $100,000 Calyx @ Coolmore Australia Handicap (1200m).
The horse finished last in a field of 10, after going into the race as the $3 favourite.
In the same race, six-year-old gelding The Lion - trained by Kootingal-based Michelle Fleming - finished sixth.
