Earlier this month, Johnston competed against 90 girls in the 21-22 age group where she was named in the top 15 in Australia for the chance to vie for one of five placings at the pinnacle event of the physie year.
She is no stranger to performing on the iconic concert hall stage having represented at the nationals on five prior occasions.
A high level of athleticism, flexibility, strength and ability to tell a story through movement are essential in the execution of the dance routines.
Since receiving her golden ticket, Johnston has been practising hard and refining her technique to be performance ready for the much anticipated event.
Over 2000 people will be in attendance with the top 15 in each age category from 15 years through to Elite Ladies going on to compete for the title of Australian Champion.
Teacher Holly Schultz is confident in Johnston's ability and talent to showcase an outstanding performance.
"The atmosphere will be electric with excitement and I have full confidence that Taylor's talent, hard work and passion will result in her personal best on the night," Schultz said.
"Everyone in the club is beyond proud of Taylor and wish her the very best of luck as she steps into the spotlight and enjoys the ultimate achievement of performing at the most memorable nights of the physie year."
