This week the picnic area and pump track was awash with Gravity Groms and Dirtmasters as our team of timing queens handled the 62 eager registrations.

Ten little Gravity Groms were corralled for a couple of laps of the Kids track. Balance bikes, trikes and wee 18 inch bikes kicked up some dust on the little rollers and berms while the big people lent a hand on the hill.
With the main riders sticking to the eastern trails for their race loops the Dirtmasters had free reign of Fenceline, the crew so eager they took off on their first lap before the timers got into place and before Lachie Butters had time to set up a strategic shortcut to avoid the jump and gully runs for our new riders.
Given the howling protest from the ranks we may have to put them back in next week. 13 Dirty A's and 1 little Dirty B had a ripper ride down Fenceline. Not to be thwarted by race close Harry Arndell and Charlie Stewart sailed through transition and out for a last sneaky lap.

Congratulations to Cadence Clark whose little legs did two Fenceline climbs on the modified Dirty B track.
Justin Roberts is a right little rocket at the moment and led out the Elite Grade on some fast flow trails with one short sharp pinch up Secret Valley.
There's not much water running alongside Translucence at the moment but it's still a sweet descent back to the picnic area. Crummy and Ben Clark had their own little battle going on.

A grade is a hoot watching Lachie Butters and Marty Siddons vying for the top spot. Marty is getting closer each week with only .5 sec in it this week.

Junior Elite are a fit little bunch with the young guns putting in and enjoying some friendly competition and great race experience.

We totally love that the Rec riders were so busy chilling out that they forgot to listen to their race loop. Totally unphased Liza Mackay and Jenny Blair cruised around, had a chat and every now and then came back to transition.
Hopefully we'll have some better air quality for racing next Wed punters. See you at rego 5.30, Gravity Groms 5.35, Dirtmasters 5.45 and main race 6.15!
